My Mercury Service Manual says the stator leads should read 5.2 to 6.2. Mine is reading 6.9. Does this mean my stator needs replaced? Haven't got to test the trigger yet. Also, even if the trigger tests good, should a person replace both stator and trigger at the same time or is it OK to just replace the bad stator?
