STATOR INSTALLATION QUESTION – 1994 - 90HP FORCE

Hello Folks,<br /><br />My “wonderful” Force engine has burned the stator (Part # 388-8778) and today I got the new one, made by CDI (Part # 174-8778K1), which according to the manual will replace my old one.<br /><br />The problem is: it doesn’t have the rubber cover on it, so I have no idea which way I should install it. There are lots of holes around the stator and I’m not sure which one I should use to mount it. Or it doesn’t matter?<br /><br />Please help,<br /><br />PS The other question: according to the service manual there is should be connection (resistance) between RED and BLUE wires but new stator doesn’t have this connection, so I don’t know is this book’s error or I got bad stator,<br /><br />Alex
