The preferred method of checking the stator is to measure its voltage while cranking. You'll need a peak reading voltmeter, or an adapter for a digital multimeter.(DVA adapter)<br /><br />If thats a distributorless ignition, there will be charge voltage and trigger voltage to contend with.....
