Olivier, you should read a post about a similar problem with another Suzuki. It was titled:
suzuki 88 dt55 on April 6, 2003 by duckdog3.
Check to see if your new plugs are actually sparking.
Is the fuel bulb pumped up tight?
Are the choke butterflies working and closed tight when you actuate the choke?
Try squirting some pre-mix in the carb throats and see if it fires (?what is "starter pilot", don't use starting fluid (ether) it washes the oil off the cylinders use pre-mix instead).
Make sure your battery is adequately charged to turn over the engine fast enought to fire the cylinders.
When was the last time the motor ran (right).

hi JIM
first: thanks for posting back this quickly!
and second: sorry for my bad english.
i'll try to respond to your questions:

1. no the plugs didn't spark, i disconnected them and put them one by one on engine (metal part to see if they spark if you see what i mean)

2.pumped fuel quiet tight i guess yes...

3.Starter pilot is like i think you call pre-mix (???) or is is kind of ether??? its a product in spray to put in air filter....

battery was new last year... and suffered a lot now trying to start engine last week... recharched it... but i think it's almost dead now... So there is also a problem... it's losing all it's power??? The engine started for a few seconds (two or three times, but now even the starter gives up and it will be hell to find an adequate starter for that old model (1981)
brought starter to repair it but they told me it's dead...
i'm almost HOPELESS !... and summer is cumming up!

thanks

olivier

mailgraphic@pandora.be

I believe if the battery is low and the cranking rpm's are slow you won't energize the ignition system, so you need to solve the battery-starter problem first. Make sure the plug you're testing is grounded properly on the engine bare metal (not paint).

If the starter fluids is in a spray can don't use it (ether is for 4-strokes). Mix up some gas and oil (pre-mix) is a squirt bottle and spray it in the carbs.

It sounds like you have encountered the dreaded post-winter low battery-bad spark, gummy-sticky carburetor, old bad fuel, spring boaters blues. You need to whittle the problems down to a specific one. Keep us posted.

P.S. Anything can be fixed if you throw enought money at it.
