I have an 1985 Bayliner with a 2.3 Volvo in it. It has always been a little hard to start when it's cold but once it started no problems. That is until today. I got it in the water started it let it warm up and as soon as I put it in gear it died and would not start. It would crank. I had fuel to the carburetor but no spark. It has points. Where is the condencer located? Does it sound like the condenser warming up and laying out? Or possibly the coil? When I got it home it fired right up. I didn't run it very long. I'm getting a set of muffs and going to run it longer. Any ideas? Is there a way to test the condenser or coil? Thanks for your help.
