I have a 1990 Johsno VRO 140. The VRO pump has been pulled off, and it is set up to have 50:1 mix. My mechanic had it running and said it was rady to go. He said I need a kill switch though. Of course I get it and I can't get it started. My question is is the fuel line right next to the VRO oil line, right above some red switch. My line has been primed and seems hard. It turns over and sound so close it has a puch in choke. I am holding the button down with my thumb while I do this. My meachni said he used a kill. The only thing he asid it could be was that I was not depressing the kill swithc all the way. But to me it sounds like its not getting gas. Let me know guys. Also ist there any way to unwire the kill switch and is my fuel hooked up right?

Re: Starting problems

There should be 2 barbs that protrude from the engine...the larger one should be the fuel line.

As for the kill switch...Black and Yellow are the wires to hunt for.

Though its not a good idea to run without the kill switch...its there for a reason.

Re: Starting problems

I have found the black and yellow wires now how do I disconnect kill switch, do I just wire them togehter?? And there is a red switch under neath where i have the fuel hooked up. What do I do with that?? So I guess I have it corrected pluged in right next to the oil injection that now has a screw in it.

Re: Starting problems

Have your mechanic demonstrate proper starting procedure for you. He should do that for you if he wants to keep you as a customer.
