I had pulled the powerhead off my '94 Mariner 25HP electric start outboard, and stupid me, hadn't taken a picture or drew a diagram, as to how the three wires were attached to the starter solenoid.
The left side of the solenoid just has one large terminal. The right side has a large terminal, in addition to 2 small terminals behind it. The 3 wires in question is the positive feed from the battery(pale red shrinktube in picture), a thick yellow colored wire that comes from the bottom of the starter(black shrinktube eyelet just below right terminal in picture), and a small red wire that comes from the positive, bottom terminal of the rectifier above the solenoid. These 3 wires, just go to the front 2 large terminals (2 are put together on one terminal). I just don't recall which wires to which terminals.
Thanks for the help.
Here's a thumbnail photo, hope it works.
