I am trying to service the carburator 1998 Johnson 30hp. I cannot figure out how to get the starter off. Can anyone tell me the trick\? I do not see any nuts or bolts that are accessible so I can remove the starter to get to the carb nut.
What ya' have to do is take the whole starter bracket lose atwerp. Yep, pain in the patut. Here's the BRP link so you can take a look at the parts breakdown. Click on "View Parts Catalog" and follow the prompts. You'll need the model number of the engine.
