Re: starter problems

Take jumper cables direct from the battery. Connect the "+" to the terminal on the starter, being careful that the jumper cable clamp onlt is on the terminal and not touching the starter body, then touch the "-" jumper cable to the engine block. The starter should work if its good.

Re: starter problems

Hi
Presuming the engine isn't seized, the easiest way, is to take a voltage reading while attempting to crank. If you have under 9.6v, you have a battery, cable, solenoid or connection issue. If you have over 9.6v, and it doesn't crank, the starter is bad....good luck!
