Re: starter problem

Could be a really weak starterbut Make sure the battery is fully charged. have it tested under a load.. Just because it shows you voltage it means nothing. it needs to be tested under a load. Get a new battery first. then work your way to the starter.

Re: starter problem

You really shouldnt . boosters are jsut that. Boosters. its designed to give a initial extra kick to spin the motor over with a low battery. You may end up overloading your electrical system. Fill the battery back up with battery acid or distilled water than charge the battery on a slow trickle charge. then try it.

You could of fried the starter. the starter needs time to cool off between attempts to start the ski. if you keep cranking it youll heat up the starter and eventually burn it up

That sounds liek a weak starter to me but if you have a weak battery there wont be enough amps to crank the starter thus giving you a impression the staerter is bad. Electrical problems need to be figured out with a good battery to start diagnostics

Re: starter problem

time to do a voltage drop test
clean connections first and have a fully charged battery
