Re: Starter Motor Bearings

A electric motor rebuilder shop should have the oil light bearings for the end caps that can be replaced. In the long run it would be best to just get a remanufactured starter as the stator armature, carbon brushes, springs and other parts will also need to be repaired to have a good starter in the end. Arco, Serria, and Mercury starters can be bought from 120 to 150 dollars from several online sales outlets. JMO

One can usually make new brushes by finding something slightly larger and filing to the right size.
