So, I started to dig into some work on this 73 ob, and we did run a compression check on all cylinders
#1=127.6 #2=130.4 #3=130.6 #4=130.1 (all in lbs) is this good for this engine and it's age?
2nd we cleaned out the engine compartment (leaves acorns etc..) yes it was left outside uncovered,
then we started to inspect the wiring and found 3 bad wires coming off the main plug-in unit (in the engine compartment on the starter side) and they were bad.
Anyone familiar with this plugin, 1 Red wire goes to the starter solenoid, and the other Black wire goes to the upper left-hand corner of the starter unit, but the other 3 wires are junk (yellow, white, orange)
Question? can I still find this plug-in unit? or is it time to break out the soldering iron and get creative?
