I have a1988 procraft 1660v. It has a 135 mercury v6. The battery is new. It will show full charge on the battery status monitor in the boat. It can set for an hour and be totally drained. The ignition key is off. The master switch is off on the dash. The only things hooked to the battery are the starter cable, battery status indicator, and the silicone encased relay cluster. I am begining to wonder if the battery is bad. Any help would be helpful.

Welcome to iboats.

Yank the battery and have it load tested.

Get a multi meter and also make sure you are charging properly from the outboard.

Sounds like a bad cell.
