Starcraft Seafarer 16,...how good a boat is it?

I received an email response from a dealer in Indiana about a 1972 Starcraft
Seafarer 16 boat while doing a boattrader.com search for an older Lund. This
dealer told me that this Starcraft was all he has at this time.,and has asked me if I am interested in this one. I said I will think it over,...but I would like more information on this boat. As far as all Starcrafts in general,how do they compare with boats such as Lund ,Sea Nymph,and Alumacraft? Would this Sea
farer be worth considering in my quest for an older used rig to at least get me back on the water even if my heart is set on another brand?

At this time of year it is a buyers market and I wouldn't purchase any boat I didn't have my heart set on, unless I was stranded on a island. Wait for a couple of months, check EBAY and CRAIGSLIST, and I sure you will find the deal you have been looking for.
I've had 2 Starcrafts, and feel they are very good boats and conparable with the Lund and Sea Nymph, but I would still "go with my heart".
