Most of the mid 70's Starcraft aluminum boats I've seen are in the $2500-$4000 price range. And the bigger cuddies are impossible to find.

I am now thinking of expanding my search to the U.S for a greater variety and a much cheaper price but I have never brought a boat across the border before.
What would a reasonable price be for a 18ft+ tinny be down south?
I realize that boats in Canada cost more new and have very, very few hours compared with U.S boats and the few boats I've looked at had no rot at all in the transom as it is so dry and cold here. But I am thinking less than 1K should get me an older Starcraft.
This glass boat was sunk and they still want $1900!

This Chieftan is $6500:(

Sometimes you have to go where the boats are. Define down south, Idaho, Washington and Oregon?

OK I just looked at the map. Minnesota is probably your best bet. Montana and the Dakotas are close by too. I think it's a good idea, I don't know how to get a boat back over the border. Then you need to register it. Maybe start with the register people?
