Hello guys I haven't had time to post pics of my 15ft 1972 StarCraft Capri with 1972 85hp outboard. The weather here in KC has been horriable. I just love my StarCraft I have been looking for one for years since I saw my first tri-hull years ago. I was wondering when did StarCraft come out with the Cathedrall hull and tri-v hull I can't tell witch mine is? Also has anyone ever converted a Ski boat into a fish and ski on a Capi? If so where would I put the live well or could someone give me a sugestion?

I bought the boat off Craigslist for $1200 from an old man in the country he had done some resteration to it with new carpet and seats from bass pro and a hummingbird depth finder. will have pic up soon weather is to change :D Also how do you move up in rank?

Any tri-hull is good to fish from as they tend to be very stable. My dad bought one back when I was a little guy and I have fond memories of fishing trips on it.:)

Livewell should be near the stern if possible as that part of the boat doesn't get bounced around as much(splashing water and fish around).

I'm going to just plumb a big cooler so I can move it around as needed.

Rank goes up when your post count goes up. Once you hit 20k posts I think they let you make up your own rank;)

Still looking forward to some pics, those Capris are sweet, I really like the 20' one that is open-bow AND has a cuddy cabin:D

Check out the brochures, there is a link in my signature. We have quite a collection going and the ones from the 70s have info on the tri-hull designs I think.

I was thinking the same thing and just using a cooler for a live well. I have looked at the brochures and that 1974 20ft capri sport cruiser is bad ase. I would like to find a top for mine. I do like the camper top or even the one with side windows. My capi looks like the gold and white on the brochure. If you can find a 1972 brochure I would like that so i could see what all came with the boat that year.
