where is the best place to find information about old Starcraft boats. I have a 1972 Starcraft Capri 16ft. tri-hull and would like to find a top to keep the sun off us. i really like the style of these old boats.
If you just want to get out of sun, try a bimini top. Cheap, less than $200.00 at any boat dealer.<br />Starcraft is no help at all for older boats. Been there done that. 1976 18' Starcraft Chieftain. Had my top custom made. But it ain't cheap.<br />Good Luck<br />Mike<br />
I have a 1963 Starcraft, I think it is 17'.. the boat registration says 17, previous owner says 18, I guess I'll just have to measure it to know for sure.. <br /><br />I haven't found any info on old Starcraft boats.
Measure the cockpit to get an idea of the size (ie length and width) and then you will be able to find a bimini very close to what you need. You can shop iboats and other internet sites for sizes and colors, or your local marina would probably have the size in stock. The kits are a do it yourself job (2-3 hours; my wife was on the phone & 1 child diaper change)with some help from a spouse or your marina could install in 1 1/2 - 2 hours max.
