Popped on craigslist this morning fro no reason, ( i hardly ever go one it) and the top item was a '16 starcraft for 100.00. Green in color. Anyone know what year the 16's were green. Its a glasser.
So i called the guy and went to look at it.
I could not get the year as the vin# was covered by a huge piece of plastic about 3/4" of an inch thick that was glued to the back of the transom. Then it had a 1/8" piece of steel on top of that. The top of the transom had been cut out so a short shaft motor could be used. This was not covered in any way and the transom was junk. I hopped up in the boat and went straight through the floor to the hull.... There was no motor or controls, the seats were mush. Just not worth the money.
The trailer on the other hand was decent, E-Z Loader. again was not able to find the vin as it had been painted over with latex paint. tires were not bad, one was flat but aired right up.
I took a couple pics, but my phone wont download them for some reason. Maybe later i can post them.
