Starcraft 191 SFM with 4,3L what prop

I will be using this boat for walleye fishing primarily and I was wondering what is the most popular prop and pitch.

I suppose the most popular prop for a Mercruiser would be one made by Mercury Marine.

You can use the Mercury prop selector to see what it recommends for your type boat. They'll give you a choice of aluminum and SS props to chose from.

Took a look but didn't find it too helpful. I have a 1995 with 4.3l, 185hp. the prop on the boat has a 19 pitch. Would a 21 pitch prop give me more top speed but also troll at slow speed?

You can use your present wot rpm and gps speed to help tell what prop might be best.
Tell us your present performance and we can help you select the right prop.
It's critical for any boat to be propped for a max wot rpm within its max rated rpm.
very likely your 19" is close to what you need.
Sometimes a specific prop size and style may be needed.For instance a Family wanting to ski with a boat load of people
would require a different prop than say a young couple that runs fast with a little cruising thrown in.
Prop selection is not usually effective for controlling trolling speed.
Increasing pitch will reduce rpm and power, the speed results would depend on the previous prop and performance.
Decreasing pitch increases rpm and power actual results would depend on that of the previous prop.

Thanks for your help. I purchased a used boat and the prop had just been redone. I was thinking about buying a spare prop and was trying to figure out whether to get a prop with the same pitch or get a prop with a different pitch. The winter just doesn't want to quit in NW Pa, got a couple inches of snow last night so it will be a while before I can get back on the water.

I know what you mean ,here in central NY I have my Chevy Corvair on stands in the driveway with the brakes pulled apart waiting for 40 degree weather.
