I have a 1994 OMC, 5.0, EFI engine on which the starboard side exhaust heated up to the point that the rubber hose between the riser and upper exhaust pipe and the rubber hose between the upper exhaust pipe and lower exhaust pipe melted somewhat. The engine did not overheat but was running a little warmer than normal at approx. 180 degrees. The riser is quite rusty. Is it likely that the riser is causing this problem?
Thanks.
Mike
