Hello, just replaced manifold to riser gaskets on boat I just acquired. Upon running up to temperature and checking for leaks on muffs the starboard riser was getting hot to the touch. Engine s/n is 0D810972. Pinching hoses it didn't seem that any water was going to the nipple at the forward starboard riser. After disassembly of the thermostat housing all of the water channels are clear and the thermostat opens by 140 degrees on the gauge. I noticed that the hoses for the port and starboard side seem to be running differently. The hoses at either side of the thermostat go to the front of the riser on the starboard side and to the bottom of the manifold on the port side. The top hoses forward of the thermostat go to the riser on the port and the bottom of manifold on starboard. Looking at cooling diagrams, it looks like the hoses on the starboard side are possibly switched? The hoses look to be bent at funny angles as well. The previous owner said he did it of his own manitenance so I can see how the could have been hooked up wrong. Any input would be appreciated.
Thanks, Joe
