For all fans: Did anyone see there is a new web site called Star Trek Continues? It basically picks up with the 5 year mission of the original show. Has some notable actors as guest stars and is better than I thought it would be. Grant Imahara (MythBusters) as Mr. Sulu and Chris Doohan as Mr. Scott

If you call yourself a trekkie it's worth checking out.

(If anyone asks I'll post a link. No links in the first post and all that. :D )

Neato. I'll check it out. We need some ST back on the air badly and/or Firefly.

Re: Star Trek Fans...

Great to have another Browncoat in the house! That cancellation is the worst gorram TV travesty of all time. The show would more relevant now than ever. I've heard vague rumblings about possible ST/FF reboots on Netflix or something along those lines, but who knows. Joss is in the big leagues now and all of the rest of the cast have day jobs so it would be tricky, but I sure wish they'd try. Although, I love seeing references pop up in other shows like Castle and Big Bang Theory. There are even screenshots of Serenity in the most recent Star Wars movies during the various space battles. Joss has also said that he wouldn't take it back to the small screen either :/ Worst of all he doesn't even own the rights to his own creation, FOX does :/ I've been reading all of the Sereniy comics/graphic novels and they're pretty dang good. They're the best selling books in Dark Horse history (the Buffy comics are pretty good too). The first comic of the new series came out a month or so ago and hit me right in the feels around page 3-4. It had to do with leaves and wind and whatnot.................oh, and Zoe's pregnant :)

Have you seen "Done the Impossible" it's a Firelfly documentary made by the fans. You can order it online and/or watch it on Netflix/Youtube. Well worth watching.

Keep flyin' !

Watched a little bit of it ... struggling with Kirk and McCoy. Kirk ain't a bad actor, just doesn't quite make the part.

Sets are really nicely done though, and the camera work is pretty well done in the "throwback" style.

Perfect for a cold day. There's also a special on SyFy channel 10th anniversary special called "Firefly: Browncoats Unite" that may be available On Demand as well as lots of stuff on youtube. There's also a great +1hr panel from last years Comic Con with the entire cast and Joss himself. Beware it'll you hard in the feels. Keep flyin'.

Check out "Dr. Horrible's Sing Along Blog" if you're a die-hard Wheedonite too. Also, available on youtube.

You gotta' give 'em all this ... for low budget flicks, the space shots aren't too bad.
