Standing water in console?

I am the new owner a year 2000 Sea Hunt 172 Triton, and I found a couple inches standing water in the bottom of the center console.

I can see where water gets in -- cup holder drainage holes, removed electronics with exposed mount holes, and can plug these. But shouldn't the console have some drainage holes? Right now any water that gets in becomes trapped.

Also, I noticed two small hoses from the right side of the console extending down to the bottom of the console, near the wiring harness -- can anyone tell me what these are for?

Thanks!

The various compartments on a boat *should* have a drain opening that allows water to seep back to the bilge. Sometimes the openings are very small, get plugged with debris, or the carpet installer defeated the opening, etc. Maybe a few pokes with an open wire hanger is needed.

Does 1 of those hoses go to your speedo? Some pics would help.

I have a sea hunt. The console well has a drainage hole in the center, aft.
The cup holders have hoses that hook to their drain holes and then they drain out the side; maybe yours go to the bilge.
Or the hoses could be speedo or trim tab wires.
If you have the live well in front of the console, the top of it isn't sealed, so when full, it will slosh water into the console well. Seal it, as well as the deck plate around the console.
I used liquid electrical tape to seal my gauges, since it's black. The steering wheel cover is a big leaker, too.
Also I keep the console covered to shed some of the rain. Grill covers work.

Check to see if you have hose fittings on the botom of your cup holders. All my cupholders have drains that are routed via small hoses to the bilge. Maybe they forgot to hook them up

Thanks for the info. re: cupholders and the drain. I think the hoses are for cupholders, but the cupholders were replaced and they new ones don't have fittings for the hoses. Will see if I can clear the drain and then seal everything as suggested.
