Standard gear ratio 2007 Tahoe Q6 with Mercruiser 4.3L MPI

I am considering buying this boat for recreation/skiing/tubing. I ski'd on two behind it yesterday but it was lagging a little trying to pull me up on slalom (220 lbs). I've read around and am likely going to get the smart tabs and am considering changing the standard 3 blade prop to a 4 blade with a little less pitch. However, since I don't have the boat in front of me, can someone give me the standard gear ratio for this so I can at least get started in the prop search? Thanks for your time. I've read and realize I'll need much more info to get the exact prop but that will have to come at a later date. Gear ration will help me for the time being. Thanks

should be 1.62 for the 4.3's

No, I think the 1.6x is usually behind a 5.0. I believe you'll find the 1.84 behind the 4.3 v6. If you post up an SN for the drive you'll find out for sure. Also, it's usually printed on the outdrive near the SN.

Yea is should be 1.84. You are going to need to know what prop is on it now to know where to start.

Thank you! Hopefully I'll have possession of it by the end of the week. I know I want to do the smart tabs and a prop but would rather gather the info first before going overboard with the prop shopping. Thanks already.
