STALLS

I HAVE A 1979 850 MERC 4 CYL THAT STALLS IN GEAR AND IS VERY HAD STARTING. REBUILT CARBS,NEW SWITCHBOX,REBUILT FUEL PUMP,HAS GOOD SPARK. I WAS TOLD THAT I HAVE TAPPERD CYLINDERS.CAN ANYONE FILL ME IN ABOUT THIS PLEASE

Does the choke work?<br /><br />Possibly open the low speed jets 1/8 of a turn.<br /><br />Add more oil to the fuel. If the problem persists it is likely to be something minor. If the problem seems to correct itself, you need to replace the worn seals on the crank.<br /><br />TMD
