1996 Mercruiser 5.7l LX EFI Bravo III Serial OF756740 Rochester 220 throttle body injection. This engine ran good until the following took place. Here is what has happened. First the fuel pressure regulator leaked fuel into the lower tbi unit, repaired the diaphragm and it ran good for a few minutes. Then one of the injectors started dripping fuel and spraying a crappy cone of fuel to the butterfly unit. Replaced both injectors and changed spark plugs as they were fouled by the excess gas that went into the engine. Took it for a ride and it ran good at all throttle ranges. When idling into the dock it stalled, restarted and it stalled again at idle, It will run and idle fine until it is warmed up and and at operating temperature for several minutes then it will stall. It stall in such a way that you would swear someone turned the key off.~It just stops. I have had the codes read 2 times by 2 different repair facilities and there is nothing showing up in the computer or ECM unit. Any ideas where to start looking.

Does the boat stay in the water? Does it only seem to die while in gear? If so, maybe the props are obstructed with something like a rope wrapped around the props. Just a thought. What RPM does it idle at?

Some GM engines will do that when their crank sensor or throttle position sensor get hot. I'd get the expected ohm values and measure them cold and hot.

The boat stays in the water, it stops in gear and in neutral. It idles at 600 RPMS. The boat runs great other than this stalling problem. It will throttle up to 4400rpms and it runs all rpm ranges well except at idle when warm.
