Stalls when going into neutral sometimes

I have a Glastron 249 2002 with a volvo pent 5.7 Gi-B
When I go out it's hard to get on plane and stalls when I go into neutral intermittently
I bought the boat in March and it had sat for a while.
I tuned up the boat, plugs, rotor, cap, and filters.
Still stalls when going into netural intermittently, then it's hard to start back up unless I put the throttle up then runs rough.
I connected a pressure gauge to the low side of fuel pump about 18psi when running
On the high side it's a mpi so the connector is on the fuel rail it's 52psi with the key on and over100 $psi with engine on.

Not sure what my next step is,

A GL-B is a carbed engine, not MPI, so what do you have really?

Post a picture of the engine (Without the plastic cover) so we can see what you have. The numbers obviously don't work.

DO NOT run the engine again before you read the manual.

Followed the steps in the manual.
The pressure regulator was identified as the cause of high fuel pressure.
Removed regulator, found black crud in the regulator screen.
Cleaned out crud from the screen and tested.
Fuel pressure on the high side is now 55psi which is in specs.
Now if I bring up to 1,000 rpm the motor changes from 1,100 to 900 rpm on muffs.
Plan on running the boat in the water this afternoon
