stalls shifting into forward or reverse

Need some help please? Got a 4.3 mercruiser S# b628000
With an alpha 1 gen 1 S# 0b610213 stalls shifting into forward or reverse
Can see the stall switch make when shifting so I need a new shift cable?
Had the boat 2 years and never pulled the drive. trying to get service
Manual #6 on eBay wish me luck lol. But was hoping I could order the part
Or get an idea on part # and cost for cable, gimble bearing and all 3 bellows,
And anything need like gaskets, Specialty tool needed to do this job

I'm heading out the door, but yes it sounds like you need a lower shift cable.....
Manual # 6 is available online......

manual and tools by friday and geter done

follow the instructions get the right tools and parts.. it shouldnt take too long to go do the work..

Ok getting close to doing this little job. Im going to replace bellows,
Gambler bearing, shift cable, raw water pump. This is the list I came up with.
Any thing missing, or any good substitutes for the Lubricants/Sealers/Adhesives?
Good place to get all the stuff online, alternative to Bearing Removal and Installation Tool#91-31229A
