Stalling low speed outboard

Just purchased 2000 150 hp yamaha two stroke-runs great with cold start engaged or higher running rpms 1500 and above -does not hold an idle- before the stall it sounds like it is running out of gas-spits and stalls .Bulb remains hard. Will restart quickly with cold start engaged. Any help appreciated

Without the model of your motor, all I can do is guess this motor has carburetors and you talk about a choke for cold starting.
sounds like your carburetors need cleaning.
Pilot/ low speeds jets/passage have a problem
