Stainless Steel Props

Can anyone tell me if there is any significant gain in performance between the black coated stainless props and highly polished stainless props.<br />I am using twin 115 Yamaha 4 strokes<br />Cheers

Cheers, macca5. I don't believe us average boaters would notice any difference, even if there is any, which I doubt. Maybe a racing engine would-I don't know. I think it's more important that they be free from nicks, dings and be a good quality prop.

Have to agree.<br /><br />The right design, diam. & pitch and number of blades are much more important than the prop surface.<br /><br />Where the mentioned parametres decide how it actually performs, the surface is merely for the looks of it. Just my 2 cents...
