Are there any real differences between SS props (assuming they are the same type and purpose)? Rapture, Stilletto, etc... all claim to be better than the others but does anyone besides "Sales" have any "Pros" or "Cons" against brands.

I'm looking for a replacement for my aluminum (on a 40hp Honda) which seems to be having a "relationship" with the ever changing sandbars in Tampa Bay. Seems like everytime we go out, those two seem to always run into each other...hahaha

There is a BIG difference in SS prop manufacturers. Think of props like tires. There are all kinds and styles. Match the prop to the useage. No need to put a Winston Cup NASCAR tire on a SUV.

Good luck!

Hey, hows it going. If you say you run into sand bars alot you may not want to get a ss prop. The reason I say that is because ss props dont give like aluminum then transferring the damage to your lower unit. I was looking for a new ss prop myself. Then I saw this add for a composite prop from Piranha. You have to check this prop out. If you have access to the internet. Check out their web site at www.piranhapropellers.com You will be glad you did.

Sorry, if you don't have access to the web their phone # is 1-800-235-7767. Whats great about this prop is you can replaced damaged blades one at a time for about 20 bucs each. SEE YA.
