Stabalizer Fins

I snapped off one of the stabalizers on the lower housing. The yard that is doing the work say's I do not need the extension fins which may have contributed to the stress on the fins.<br /><br />True or false?

they might be right.<br /><br />what kind of setup do you have?<br />and how do you use it and how does it perform.

It's a 1960 40 hp on a 13 ft. Boston Whaler. It would cruise ok but had trouble getting it to plane out on a high speed acceleration.
