ST or P tires on trailer

Hello all. I am wondering what is the diff between using a st tire or a p tire on my trailer. Reason I ask, I just got 4 new tires on my truck, and want raised white letter tires for my trailer. Shop said no st tires come in raised white letters. i am towing a 1996 Stratos 258, 16 ft bass boat with a 88 hp Johnson. Any Ideas ?

ST tires are designed for trailers and have a heavier sidewall to give stability for heavier or higher loads. I would only use P rated tires on a trailer if the load is below the rating of a car tire and is no higher than a car.

I looked on ebay and found tire paint.

You can use LT or P series tires as well. Decrease the ratings by 10% and your good to go.
