My fishing buddies and I are taking a trip to the St. Lawrence River (Cape Vincent, NY) this weekend. It's our last big outing of the year. Only one of us has ever fished there before and that was 40 years ago. Can anyone give us tips?<br />Hotspots? Lures? Live Bait? We enjoy Walleye fishing the most but, as true fishermen, we will take anything that bites. Thanks in advance for the help.

The river gets fairly deep and wide in that area. You may be able to pick up some suspended walleyes down there. If you are looking for more action, I would go down river more toward Cedar Point and Clayton where there are more weed beds and Island structure to fish around where you will be more likely to connect with them coming in during the PM and leaving in the AM.
