Squeal top, back of motor

I have a really odd squeal coming from the top to back of my mercruiser 110/120. It only does it at idle at high rpm it stops. It does it with the outdrive off, so I have ruled out this. I also took off the alt belt, so its not the alt. One thing that I have noticed is that if I lift on that side of the motor and raise it about .5 cm, it stops. I tried raising the motor at the front and it doesn't seem to stop. ONly when I lift on the carb or the water jacket on the Carb side of the motor.

Other than the sqeal, the motor runs like a top.

Anybody have an Idea about this?

Ayuh,.... It sounds like your Motor Mounts are Sagging,+ causing something to Rub.......

Thats what I thought, but after further investigation, leaky manifold gasket. Took it all apart yesterday (man those nuts are hard to put back on) and put back together with a new gasket and everything was back to normal.

The 65 mercruiser is up and kicking again.....at least for now
