Hi, I posted this in Boat Topic section. I guess I should have posted here first. I hope someone can help me out.

I am looking at replacing the springs on my shorlander trailer. I don't have the exact model of the trailer at hand, but can tell you that it's pulling a 17ft. bowrider. I've never done this before, so my question is this something that I should attempt, or would it better be left to a professional?

Thanks.

Check out www.championtrailers.com , Hoss.

All you need is the length and style of the spring. .. oh, and the weight capacity would help, too.

I will delete your duplicate post in the wrong forum.

Good luck. :)

Re: Spring Replacement Help

Go for it!
I just did it myself last year and it was a piece of cake. I think the hardest part was just removing the rusted old bolts. Also, if yours are on an adjustable slider that the springs bolt to,(sorry, don't recall the proper name for the piece), and you remove it, mark where it was so you don't put the undercarrage on crooked. Oh, and ditto what JB says too.
Hope this helps a little.

Dave
