I know it's been mentioned here before, but it's spring cleaning time, and them Magic Erasers are frigging amazing!

I just used up a dozen of them wiping out the inside of my boat. It's creepy. It looks like a new boat.

The downside is that I feel like I have to take off my shoes or something to go aboard. It looks too 'nice'.

I kinda miss that old dirt. Oh well, I guess there's always new dirt, for the new season!

Re: Spring Cleaning....Magic Eraser

Usually, in spring, I just blast the heck outta my boats with my 3300 psi power washer, but I had a case of these Magic Erasers, and time on my hands, so I thought I'd try it on a rare 70 degee late winter day.

HC, I checked out that thread, and it scared me for a minute:

"Some would say they create fine scratches that encourage more dirt to wedge into."

But I looked at the before-and-after areas of my boat, and the after areas look nice and shiny. I guess my boat 'before' was kinda chalky.

The magic eraser is actually closer to 3000 grit. It'd such a fine grain that it's almost negligible to the touch. But, it also removes wax and the protective layer of your vinyl seating areas. Rewax after you're done cleaning and put a protectant back on the seats.

Fireman, thanks for the wax tip. I have a 30 year old can of wax that I've been dragging around with me over the years. I guess I finally have a use for it!

But then that's it. I'm done. All this cleaning and polishing was kinda interesting, but not all that much.

And you can use it to clean your turn table stylus after cleaning the boat.
Just lower it on and raise it up. No scrubbing!
I really like this product for water stains on glass.
