My outboard model # is 10424G. The serial # is E0012022. Could you tell me what the recommended fuel oil ratio should be?

Thanks in advance.

Re: Sportwin 9.9 fuel oil mixture

Thank you guys for your swift responses. I did read them the following day. A couple more questions:

1. Where can I find a new (or used) recoil spring for the starter rope? The tip of my current one broke off, so I was also wondering if I could heat up the end and bend it to form a new tip to catch the gear.

2. I hear there's not much difference between a 9.9 and a 15 hp Sportwin. What's the difference? Can I make the 9.9 more powerful?

rgeis,Not sure about the upgrade on hp.May just be as easy as carb changeout.Check out this fiche drawing of a recoil starter for a 1980 model 9.9 and see if it looks the same. You can get it or the assy. from
www.boaterssupply.com
recoil starter
