Sunday went to the lake started right up then just died would not fire back up.After being towed back in it fires back up running great do a donuts and it dies. towed back in unhooked then black and yellow from switch box to harness ran great no problems just have to choke to kill motor.took out yesterday with wire disconnected ran perfect all day gps said 34 mph with all most full tank 2 adults and a 5 year old.(sea rayder allso have a bayliner reflexx so I have twice as much to mess with) So is it the ignition switch or kill or was something just wet has any one ran in to this problem. selling both of these boats just want them right before I sell to someone.

I'd double check the ignition switch and kill switch. Both switches short the black/yellow wire to ground to kill the ignition spark. I'd suspect the kill switch is the problem. You can OHM it out with a meter, or just pull one of the wires off the back of the kill switch (put some tape on the end of it) and see if it continues to happen. This way you can still turn the motor off with the key. If it runs OK, then the kill switch is your problem.

First unhook the wire from the rev limiter , see if it is ok if so, you have a bad rev limiter , if it is still messed up you have a problem with the kill circuit on the boat side of the harness , replace the ignition switch first as they are prone to failure .
