Hi All, haven’t been around in a loooong time, and I hope everyone is doing ok.
I haz a new to me 2001 SportCraft 272 express sport fish.
there are sliding windows, at helm, Port & starboard. Two piece sliders , fore and aft. The two forward pieces easily slide back, but the aft two pieces will not slide forward. They appeared to have been sealed with a silicon, but I can easily see the “fuzzy track” is there under the silicone. I slid a razor along the window, and separated the glass from the sealant. I can feel the window wiggle slightly in the track, but I can not slide it forward... it feels like it does go 1/8 to 1/4” then hits some kind of stop, that I cannot see, find or locate.
Trying to figure out, if even though it has a lined sliding track, did manufacturer seal it? Only front opens? Was this just some previous owner’s doing? Any SportCraft owners with similar sliding windows, is there a trick or hidden stops ?
thanks
kenny

Ha... I found a stop, with a single screw , hidden in the”fuzz” in upper track. I have no idea if this is manufacturer’s doing or a previous owner, but I hope this helps someone else out...

most likely the PO sealed it because it needed new glazings. check for a manufacturer such as Bomar, etc. and then contact them.
