I own a 1994 Sea Ray Sea Rayer f-14 with a sport jet 90 engine. Can anyone tell me what the average top speed for this boat should be. The best mine has run in 30mph with two people (350 pounds). Is this average speed or should I be getting better performance?

You are not doing to bad, the 90hp jets only came with the standard pump. My 16.5' 120 jet with the larger XR2 pump will hit 42mph with two bodies. Anything hooked to the back will greatly reduce your top end speed, (fish finder, etc.)

I've got a 90HP Bayliner Jazz that runs about 37 mph (gps) with one aboard. Probably would run in the mid 30's with two. It's a little smaller and probably lighter than the SeaRayder. My engine tachs about 5,200 at WOT.

Are you using a GPS or the in-dash speedometer? The in-dash speedo's are notoriously inaccurate.
