Sport Jet 90 Lower Unit Swap

I'm not sure this is the correct forum, but I hope someone can shed a little light on this. I have a '94 Bayliner Jazz with a Sport Jet 90 that needs some jet drive work. I may also have access to a '97 complete jet drive unit from a SJ 90. I would like to replace the jet drive as a complete unit. Does anyone know if this would be a bolt on replacement or if things have changed enough in those 3 years to make this impractical?
