So I have seen all the posts about how to test stator etc if there is no spark. My question is a little different. I know that I have a problem with the switch box because when I disconnect the black/yellow wire I get spark back; however I am curious the harm in connecting the black/yellow to a switch on the dash in order to bypass the switch box and running the boat that way. I know it probably knocks out the rev limiter but I am curious what else and if running it this way is a bad idea. On the same note does anyone know what the rpm's are supposed to be at WOT. thank you.
