Sport Craft 232 and Outdrive Trim Problem

I've got a 1990 Sport Craft 232 Fishmaster with a Volvo Penta 501 and Volvo Penta DP CD Trim outdrive. Does anyone know a source for any manuals for this boat? As for the outdrive trim it's operated via an on-off-on toggle switch and it has a push-button switch beside it. Can someone tell me if the push-button switch has to be engaged in order to raise the outdrive? I'm having problems with the outdrive trim function. It was going down, but not up. I replaced both of the solenoids on the trim motor, at which point it stopped working completely. When I hotwire the trim motor direct from the battery and run a hot line to the green (down) and blue (up) wires on the solenoid all I get now is clicking at the solenoids... is the trim motor bad, is the pushbutton switch causing problems, but wouldn't hotwire direct to the solenoid bypass that? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

If you run green to ground and blue to positive and swap
them around, you should get some reaction from the
electric motor. If not??? then I'd guess the motors bad???

Thanks for the tip, weather permitting I'll give it a try this weekend.

Hold in the button and trim up at same time. Should work.
