Anyone on here fish a spoon for bass? Just wondering what set up you would use fishing a spoon?
Thanks

Re: Spoons

I have used Johnson Silver Minnows for bass since I was knee high to a grasshopper, Joe. I used to use nightcrawler but now I usually hang a twister grub on the tail.

Re: Spoons

I will use a little cleo (silver and Blue). They are really productive for vertical use. Also Slow jig retrive also seems to do well. They are not my strong point but they have produced.

Re: Spoons

In the fall and early winter I'll use a silver buddy, Not a true spoon but real close, it is more of a blade bait. You use jigging vertically, just burping it off the bottom. It kind of mimics a dying bait fish.

Flex-it jigging spoons over deep brushpiles in the fall to late fall seasons.
