splined sleeve coupler fitment sx-m drive

Making a fixture tool to hold the upper gearcase shaft to access the cone clutch. Ebay has 17 spline couplers from AQ260,270,280 units that are inexpensive and are 17 spline also. I'm going to weld it to a plate and mount on my work bench. Will these fit the sx-m shaft splines? Thank you, Ed

Why not buy the correct tool? Tools are listed in the factory service manual

Does any one know if these couplers are the same size? Sorry, but if I wanted to buy one I would have, not going into the business of working on these things, just my family boat.
