The weather has been crazy nice here for almost 3 weeks but I haven't been able to get out because of work and other stuff but today is the day.

I am, of coarse, going in to work this morning but will be done by lunch and we hit the ramp at 5 for some nice relaxing catfishing, new lower unit reseal and water pump, engine started and confirmed running condition fresh gas, new trailer tires, what can possibly go wrong eh..........

It has been near 80 during the day with the "low" in the 60s, until yesterday, today rain early- high 60 low 40 and a 10 mph wind so that is pretty typical, the weather followed me all year last year too, it is beautiful on my off week but almost every fishing week it is nasty but I will be out, first trip since Thanksgiving.

Yea! The only thing I forgot was the launch rope which is no big deal becuase I ha my buddy with me, had I been by myself that woudl have been a challenge but everything else went perfect and man was that nice to be on the water again.

Got down to 50 which would normally be a good high for this time of year so I will take that too, I even caught a couple cats.

Back to reality now, have to get the mower running today, my grass is a foot tall.

That's a real buddy. If you used me as a 'launch rope' I might not be so friendly any more... :D

Seriously, happy for you that you're in. Have a great, great season.

I was really eager to go yesterday, too. Local weather "observations" said winds were NE 10-13 mph. NOAA was "forecasting" winds to be NE 15 knots. Took the 2-block ride to observe the bay myself. Looks OK to me so I hook her up and go.

:(Local info sensors must be inside a building...:facepalm:what a slogfest!

I know what you mean. I was hoping to get out this weekend too but local wether said cold windy and rainy with possible thunderstorms so on Friday I started working on the boat instead. Got it torn apart for some much needed work and than yesterday was perfect boating wether. That's my luck. Maybe next weekend.
