Spirit dt25 outboard

I bought a spirit dt25 for 50$ , runs excellent , but needs new ignition switch , and not sure of year , old owner I got it from didn't now much about it either as he bought it at yard sale , numbers I seen on it were on plate on the clamp to clamp it to boat , had number 2501 then had D-13180 stamped into plate, anyone know year of my motor?

The D would indicate 1978.
