I have a 240 Sundancer with a Alpha One stern drive and I have been told the motor has a pin small hole where the speed is calibrated in the water. Where exactly is this pin size hole?

JM,

Look on the very front of the outdrive-the part that is in the water, while running. More than likely, the speedo inlet is just above the "bullet". The bullet is the part where the gears are and the propeller is at the open end of it.

Re: Speedometer Not working

You probably already know this, but the best way to measure your speed is with a GPS. The various transom mounted transducers (pitots, etc) are just not as accurate or reliable.
