Speedometer input

I have a 2007 Sea Ray with a 350 MAG MPI with Alpha sterndrive. Just had the outdrive replaced, and after about 2 hours of run time, the speedometer quit working. Is there a fitting/hose that connects from the sterndrive upper unit to the transom that provides input to the speedometer? I'm hoping that it has simply come loose and needs to be re-attached. Thanks for any input.

Re: Speedometer input

There are 2 connection points you need to look at.

First one is at the front of the drive, under the bell housing. There is a grey and white push connector. If you download the service manual for the drive (#14) you'll find a nice picture in Section 2A page 3.

Second is at the back of the engine, on the transom assembly.Check that the hose running to the speedo head is connected to it's fitting.... Same section of the manual, page 27.
